At the Peter Pincus workshop, happening @tuckers.pottery . Thank you to @loamclaystudio for sending me out to Toronto to attend the workshop.
Glad to say I'm a part of a show during the New Clay Conference happening in Ottawa on May 24th, 25th, 26th. The "Distill" show will be happening at the Top Shelf distillery in Perth. Thanks @newclayconference ! #canadianceramics #newclayconference
A little bit on the process. Now, it's been a time since I've done any substantial work since moving to the Gatineau/Ottawa region, so it has to be said that I'm getting back into the rhythm of it all. This work is done using my own slipcasting clay body in plaster molds. I've gotten back to this method of making due to the fun in making the models, and then taking it from there. The decoration part is still in process, and future pieces will have decoration revolved around carving into the plaster mold... more to come!
